A Personal Milestone: Formally Graduating as a Business Mentor and Continuing the Journey

Yesterday marked an incredible milestone in my journey as a business mentor. I’m proud to announce that I have officially graduated from the Government’s Help to Grow Innitative alongside over 100 remarkable mentors who have earned their ILM 5 + 7 Business Coaching and Mentoring qualifications. The ceremony took place at the prestigious Insurance Hall in London, adding a special sense of occasion to our significant achievements 🎓

One of the highlights of the day was meeting my fellow graduates, all genuinely lovely and inspiring individuals. We share a common ethos: a passion for watching individuals and businesses rise, thrive, and achieve success. It’s that collective mindset that makes being part of this community so fulfilling.

The significance of our work was thoughtfully captured by the Minister for Business, Gareth Thomas MP, who sent us a congratulatory video message and reminded us:

"Without people like you, the UK economy would simply grind to a halt." 🌟

His words were a powerful reminder of the vital role business mentors play in supporting the growth and sustainability of small businesses across the country.

This day wasn’t just about formally receiving a qualification—it was about celebrating the hard work, dedication, and the immense impact that we, as mentors, have on the broader business community. The commitment required to complete the ILM 5 + 7 qualifications is no small feat, but the rewards are long-lasting, not just for us as mentors, but for the many businesses we have the privilege to support.

To everyone who graduated, a huge congratulations! 🚀

This achievement represents all the dedication and perseverance we have poured into this journey, and yesterday we celebrated that.

As a proud member of both the Association of Business Mentors (ABM) and the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), I’m excited to continue contributing to the business community through mentorship. It’s an honour to be part of such a meaningful initiative.
